Olhos novos / New Eyes

Apesar de outros problemas, nomeadamente da perna. Nem tudo tem sido coisas más. Apesar de já usar óculos à muito tempo, achei por bem livrar-me deles. Por isso tratei de arranjar uma solução. Fui ao médico e dado que era possível tratei de marcar uma operação para resolver o problema. A solução teve o nome de fotoqueratectomia refrectiva. Que é um nome um bocado complicado. Mas no fundo no fundo o que quer dizer é que me cortaram os olhos, queimaram-nos com laser e depois puseram as coisas como estavam.
Bem, agora já deixei os óculos para trás e a vida tem um outro aspecto. Pelo menos é estranho acordar e não ter nada para por na cara. De qualquer modo eu habituo-me. Afinal de contas foi uma mudança para melhor. Agora ainda estou a recuperar e eventualmente estarei como novo. Portanto agora estarei com um novo visual, mais presisamente sem óculos :)

Besides some other problems, namely my leg. Not everything has been bad. Even though I’ve been using glasses for quite some time I thought enough was enough. Therefore I took care of finding a solution. I went to the doctor and because it was possible I scheduled a surgery to resolve the problem. The solution has a name Photorefractive keratectomy. It’s quite the big name. Deep down what it means is that they cut my eyes, burned them and putted them back as they were.
Well, now I left the glasses behind and life’s looking differently. At least it’s strange waking up and not having to put anything on my face. Anyway I’ll get used to it. After all it was a change to the best. Now I’m recuperating and eventually I’ll be as new. So from now on I’ll have a new look, to be more precise, without glasses. :)

Perna / Leg

Ultimamente não tenho ido ao treino. E pode-se perguntar porquê. Lembram-se da minha viagem à neve? E daquele meu pequeno incidente? Bem, tenho estado no estaleiro e nem treinar nem me mexer muito. Depois de umas investidas a um ortopedista tive inclusivé de me sujeitar a uma ressonância magnética para ver o que tinha na perna.
25 minutos de exame e muitas imagens depois lá estava pronto. Mas quem é que se lembrou de fazer aqueles exames com aquela roupa verde? E se virem House realmente aquilo para além de apertadinho faz barulho que chegue.
Bem depois de uma outra consulta, fiquei a saber que felizmente não tenho ruptura de ligamentos, nem nada partido ou fracturado. Agora a única coisa que me falta é fazer a fisioterapia para por a minha perna funcional. Devem ser 6 semanas intensivas, mas isso só confirmo depois da consulta com o fisiatra.

Lately I haven’t been doing practice. You can ask why. Do you remember my snow trip? And mine little incident? Well, I’ve been in the dockyard, without any practice or even moving that much. After some trips to the doctor I had to do a MRI to the leg.
25 minutes and lots of images after I was ready. But how ever though of doing those exams with those green clothes? Well if you watch house M.D. it’s really tight and noisy.
Well after another appointment to the doctor I fortunately found out that I don’t have any muscles busted, and not bones fractured. So the only thing that’s left is to do some physio to get this leg rolling. I should have 6 intensive, but that can only be confirmed after the trip to the physiotherapist.
