Mergulho / SCUBA

Este fim-de-semana de S. João foi diferente da norma. Apesar de alguns atrasos que me dificultaram a saída para a borga tive um dia bastante recheado.
Desta feita, fui para Peniche fazer mergulho. Acompanhado de mais algumas pessoas, onde se destacam... aquelas que foram :)
O dia foi em cheio, onde esteve incluído umas viagens atribuladas e emocionantes de barco até às Berlengas seguidas de mergulhos.
O local era castiço, embora as Berlengas sejam algo desprovidas de fauna e flora. Bem isto se excluirmos as gaivotas que frequentemente nos banham com prendas...
Os mergulhos em si não eram assim tão demorados e era sempre acompanhados por um instrutor. A restante malta podia ir chafurdando na água enquanto esperava a vez.
Bem, no final do dia estávamos todos muito cansados e com mais uma actividade realizada. Agora ainda falta o pára-quedismo :)

This Saint John’s weekend was different. Although I had some delays that made it quite difficult to go out to party it was a quite full day.
This time I went to Peniche to do scuba (self-contained underwater breathing aparator) diving. With me some went some other people which stand out those…. who went. :)
It was a packed day, it had bumpy boat trips to the Berlenga’s islands and afterwards the diving itself.
The location was quite nice and, even though the islands are somewhat poor regarding wild life. Well, to this matter we must exclude the seagulls that frequently gave us gifts from the heavens...
The diving’s weren’t very long, and we were accompanied all the time by an instructor. The rest of the guys used the time to snorkel while someone was diving.
At the end of the day we were all very tired but we had another activity done. Next is skydiving! :)

Treino Kendo Practice

Depois de quase 3 meses de estaleiro voltei ao Kendo. Aquelas férias muito boas, mas algo fatídicas, na neve podem ter deixado algumas marcas, mas depois de alguma fisioterapia finalmente estou a treinar.
Embora não esteja a 100% e haja alguns movimentos que são algo problemáticos, sinto-me muito bem por puder voltar a suar a praticar kendo. Também foi muito bom estar outra vez com os meus “irmãos de armas”, que felizmente ficaram contentes por me voltar a ver :)
Agora o objectivo é treinar muito, por a perna completamente operacional e melhorar o meu kendo. Ah e pode ser que quanto ao kendo também hajam importantes coisas novas a aparecer. Mas quanto a isso hei de escrever algo no futuro próximo.
Por isso aos que me ajudaram: Domo Arigato!

After almost 3 months in the dry-docks I finally returned to practice Kendo. Those excellent, but somewhat problematic, holydays in the snow left some lasting impressions. But now, after some physiotherapy I’m training again.
Even though I’m not 100%, and there are still some movements that are troublesome, I feel very well to be at the dojo again. It was also very good to be with my “brothers in arms”, that fortunately were happy to see me again :)
Now I’m aiming to train a lot so that my leg stays completely operational and so that I improve my kendo. Oh and it’s possible that regarding kendo there are some news in the horizon. But I’ll write about that when the time comes.
So to all that helped: Domo Arigato!

Casamento 2 / Weeding 2

Este fim-de-semana passado tive outro casamento. Desta vez foi a vez da Raquel e do Nuno, argh Pedro, perdão :) Pode-se dizer que estamos num ano casamenteiro. Toda a gente se anda a casar!! É caso para dizer que ainda não sei o porquê. Tem tempo, quando perceber porquê talvez pense nisso.
No entanto quando se dá o passo é sempre bom ter lá aqueles que nos dizem mais, e por isso lá estive! Pode-se dizer que a festa foi bem boa e fiquei muito contente pelo novo casal. Mas quem lá esteve é quem lá esteve e histórias ficam para depois.
Ah! E a noite de núpcias não é um mito afinal!

This last weekend I had another wedding. This time was Raquel and Nuno’s turn, argh Pedro’s, sorry :) You can say that we are having a wedding’s year. Everybody is tying the knot!! I have to say that I still don’t know why people do it. I still have time and when I understand why people do it maybe I’ll think about it.
Meanwhile when you answer the big question it’s always good to have those that are close to you, so there I was. The party was quite good and I was very happy for ne newlyweds. But how was there, was there and who wasn’t, wasn’t.
And by the way, the first night isn’t a myth after all!
